Ganglion cysts
What is a Ganglion?
Ganglion cysts are the commonest type of swelling in the hand and wrist. They contain a thick clear fluid.
Most ganglion cysts arise randomly but occasionally there is a history of injury or the joint underneath may have some arthritis.
Many people are not limited at all by the issue and see it as an annoyance only but If you are finding it is painful or limiting you significantly then seek help via a healthcare professional.
